Welding robots

A universal welding solution for TIG and MIG/MAG with an easy-to-use user interface was developed for Orbitalservice GmbH based on our flexible robotics system. Through native integration of all system components, from the robot to the welding machine to the wire feed, the system offers beginner-friendly operation of the entire process. From setting up the workpiece to generating the robot movement to fine-tuning the welding parameters, everything can be configured using a uniform interface. The built-in intelligence supports the user with automatic path planning including collision avoidance and suggestions for the individual process parameters.

Since our robotics software is modular, the system can be expanded at any time to include additional movement axes, robot manufacturers and welding machine manufacturers upon customer request.

In addition to development, the project also included comprehensive CE safety certification for cobot systems.

In the long term, we will support the product with an update and remote maintenance system.

Orbital welding machine “Alligator”

A modern orbital welding machine was developed for Orbitalservice GmbH, e.g. for plant construction in the chip and food industries. In addition to controlling the motors and the power source, the device offers comprehensive monitoring and, if desired, logging and documentation of all system and process parameters. Also included is supporting intelligence that suggests suitable process parameters based on the tool selection and the material to be welded.

The project included all steps, from the development of the electronics, through firmware and software programming (including touch user interface) to the final CE certification.

In the long term, we will support the product with an update and remote maintenance system.
